Meetings take place in a private office by appointment, not at a street-level counter or an open exchange floor, so you are seen at the time you booked and nobody else in the building sees your watch.

Parking is straightforward for Downtown: public garages line Hill Street and Broadway, and the Pershing Square Metro station on the B and D lines is two blocks away. Bring the watch, the box and papers if you have them, and a government photo ID. If you have a service receipt, spare links or the original hang tag, bring those as well; each one helps the offer. Payment by bank wire, check or trade credit.

How it works

2. Preliminary estimate. You receive a preliminary range based on current dealer-market evidence for your exact reference and configuration, usually the same business day. The range reflects what the watch is trading for between dealers right now, not an online asking price. If the range works for you, we book a time at the Hill Street office.
3. Appointment and authentication. The appointment takes 30 to 45 minutes in a private office. The watch is inspected and authenticated on site: movement, serial and rehaut engravings, dial, bezel, bracelet, clasp and any documents. Once the on-site inspection is complete, the final offer is confirmed at the table.
4. Payment. Payment is released after the on-site inspection is complete: bank wire, check, or trade credit toward any watch in stock. A check is written at the appointment, trade credit is applied the same day, and wires sent during banking hours usually land the same business day.

If Downtown is not convenient, or you are in San Diego, the Inland Empire, Santa Barbara or elsewhere in California, you can sell by insured shipping instead. After the preliminary range is agreed we email a prepaid, fully insured shipping label and packing instructions. The watch is inspected on arrival on the same checklist used at the appointment, the final offer is confirmed by phone or WhatsApp, and payment is sent by bank wire once you accept.

If you decline the final offer for any reason, the watch is returned to you fully insured at our cost, no questions asked. San Diego sellers in particular use this route rather than making the drive.

Safety and privacy

Every Los Angeles appointment takes place in a private office inside a staffed commercial building. We never meet in a parking lot, a cafe or a hotel lobby, and we never ask you to bring a watch to a residential address. A government-issued photo ID is required at the appointment because California law requires a record of the seller for every pre-owned purchase; treat a buyer who does not ask for ID as a warning sign, especially in a district where street-level offers are common.

The photos you send for an estimate are used only to price and authenticate your watch. They are never published, shared with third parties or used in marketing, and your name, contact details and serial number stay in the purchase record and go no further.
