Our Lady-Datejust stock currently runs from $25,550 to $30,300. The Everose Rolesor 279381RBR opens the band at $25,550, the yellow Rolesor 279383RBR sits at $25,900, and the solid Everose 279175 on the President bracelet tops it at $30,300. The spread tells the story of this line: factory diamond bezel Rolesor pieces cluster within a few hundred dollars of each other, then full precious metal plus the President bracelet adds over $4,000.
Every Rolex Lady-Datejust for sale on this page belongs to the 279xxx generation, the 28mm case Rolex adopted in 2015 after keeping this line at 26mm for almost six decades. We currently hold three: a solid Everose gold 279175 on the President bracelet, plus two Rolesor references with factory diamond bezels, the 279381RBR and 279383RBR.
We are an independent pre-owned dealer, and every Lady-Datejust we list passes an independent authentication review that includes gem setting verification. That step matters more on this model than on almost any other Rolex, because diamond dials and bezels are exactly where aftermarket work hides. We buy, sell, and trade this line constantly, including the older 26mm references.
Rolex introduced the Lady-Datejust in 1957 and held the case at 26mm for nearly sixty years. Four generations carried that size: the 6917 of the 1970s on calibre 2030, the 69xxx series of roughly 1984 to 1999 on calibre 2135, the 79xxx family from 1999, and the 179xxx that ran calibre 2235 until 2015.
The 2015 update created the Lady-Datejust 28. The 279xxx references grew the case to 28mm and introduced calibre 2236, the first movement in this line with Rolex's Syloxi silicon hairspring, delivering about 55 hours of power reserve and the Superlative Chronometer standard of plus or minus 2 seconds per day. Precious metal models such as the Everose 279175 arrived first, with Rolesor versions like the 279381RBR and 279383RBR following in 2016. Water resistance stayed at 100 meters.
Bracelets on this line follow rigid factory logic. The President, with its semi-circular three-piece links, is reserved for solid gold and platinum cases, which is why our 279175 wears it and the two Rolesor pieces do not. Rolesor and steel models take the five-piece Jubilee or the Oyster, and on a 28mm case the Jubilee's suppleness is a real comfort advantage on smaller wrists.
Two distinctions matter when shopping. First, the Lady-Datejust is not the Datejust 31; the midsize is a separate line at 31mm, and the 28 is the only current Datejust below it. Second, factory gem setting is a hard line for us: genuine Rolex diamond bezels carry RBR reference suffixes, set with 44 brilliant-cut diamonds on the Lady-Datejust 28, and we do not stock aftermarket diamond work of any kind.
Case size is the whole conversation with this model, and it never gets settled by photos. At our by-appointment offices in Brickell, Aventura, and the Downtown LA Jewelry District we will put the 28mm Everose 279175 next to a Datejust 31 on your wrist so the size question stops being abstract, and we buy and trade Lady-Datejusts as actively as we sell them, older 26mm references included.
Diamond dials and bezels are where the Lady-Datejust market gets murky. Rolex mounts dial diamonds in 18k gold surrounds, and diamond bezels leave the factory under RBR references. Stones added later cut resale value sharply, so we verify gem setting during authentication and sell factory work only.
The move from 26mm to 28mm sounds trivial and is not. The 279xxx case wears wider and flatter than the 179xxx it replaced, and the dial opening grew enough to change how diamond markers and Roman numerals read. Anyone upgrading from a vintage 69xxx should expect a visibly different watch.
President bracelets belong only on solid gold or platinum Lady-Datejusts. A steel or Rolesor example wearing a President means the bracelet was swapped, which affects value and complicates authentication. Jubilee is correct for most Rolesor references, and its five-piece links drape well on small wrists.
A 279xxx runs calibre 2236 with the Syloxi silicon hairspring and about 55 hours of reserve. The 179xxx and 79xxx generations run the 2235, and 1980s to 1990s 69xxx watches the 2135. Those older calibres are dependable but often decades past a service, so budget for that on any 26mm purchase.

How much does a pre owned Rolex Lady-Datejust cost?
Pre owned Lady-Datejust 28 references currently run from $25,550 to $30,300 in our inventory. Rolesor models with factory diamond bezels hold the lower end, while the solid Everose gold 279175 on the President bracelet sets the top. Older 26mm references generally trade below the 279xxx generation.
Where can I find a Rolex Lady-Datejust for sale in Miami or Los Angeles?
We hold Lady-Datejust models at by-appointment offices in Brickell, Aventura, and the Downtown Los Angeles Jewelry District. Book a time to try the 28mm case on your wrist, or order with free insured FedEx Priority Overnight anywhere in the US.
How do I know the diamonds on a Lady-Datejust are factory set?
Factory diamond bezels carry an RBR reference suffix, and Rolex mounts dial diamonds in 18k gold settings with uniform stones. Our authentication review checks the gem setting against reference records before we list a watch. We do not sell aftermarket diamond work.
What size is the Rolex Lady-Datejust?
The current Lady-Datejust has a 28mm case; every generation from 1957 until 2015 measured 26mm. Both sizes use the 100 meter water resistant Oyster case. If 28mm feels too small in person, the Datejust 31 is the next step up in the family.
What is the difference between the Lady-Datejust and the Datejust 31?
The Lady-Datejust is 28mm while the Datejust 31 is a separate midsize line at 31mm. The Lady-Datejust 28 runs calibre 2236 with a Syloxi silicon hairspring. On the wrist, that 3mm gap changes the watch far more than the numbers suggest.
Does every Lady-Datejust come on a President bracelet?
No, Rolex reserves the President bracelet for solid gold and platinum Lady-Datejust models like our 279175. Steel and Rolesor references ship on Jubilee or Oyster bracelets. A steel Lady-Datejust on a President is not a factory configuration.
